Wall Decal Review and GIVEAWAY (Giveaway Closed)

Update (2026):
This post was written during a sweet season when my children were little. The company mentioned below is no longer in business, and the giveaway has long since ended, but I’ve chosen to keep this post as a snapshot of that time.

Dezign with a Z  specializes in home and office wall decor, specifically in the form of vinyl wall decorations. They were so kind as to send me samples of the following designs to try in my home and to provide a $30 gift certificate to one of you!

We received the smaller versions of Sea Creatures and Polka Dots.

The package arrived in a cylinder and included directions and a squeegee along with our decals. As necessary, the decals are covered in transfer tape, to make placement on walls, glass, metal, and smooth wood easier.  

We first applied the polka dots in my son's room. Following the directions was easy, but due to being decor-challenged, I had a very hard time with the project. As frustrating as it was to stick, remove, and restick, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, it did go to show how durable the products are! They held up to my indecision quite well!!!

While I was trying trying to make up my mind on this project, my 3 year old somehow managed to punch this hole in her brother's wall with deer antlers she found in his closet...

Their immediate response was, "Put a dot here!!!!" And it hit me how wonderful these decals would be for covering up mars in your wall! So, he now has a butterfly over the hole. It's actually quite lovely and hides the hole perfectly.

I placed the rest of the butterflies in my daughter's room...

I placed the Sea Creature decals on the children's bathroom walls. I cut the pieces apart and only applied one at a time. This is what it looks like when you peel the backing off and apply the decal with the transfer tape...

And this is the result...

I think it's adorable :) My daughter said, "It's a Nemo room!"

They offer many designs, colors, and sizes, and you're sure to find something to meet your need (and see a few things of which you weren't even aware you needed).
